Kenwa Karate of Sitka


BELLA PROMOTED TO BLACK BELT!



Isabella was awarded her Jun Shodan black belt on August 18, 2021 at Kenwa Karate of Sitka.


She was first introduced to martial arts in Washington State where she studied Taekwondo during elementary school. Almost exactly 7 years ago she enrolled at Kenwa Karate of Sitka and began learning Shito-Ryu karate. Her exam consisted of physical requirements including kata & various techniques plus a comprehensive written exam.


This fall she returned to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh where she is a junior majoring in computer science.
